Hi everyone, I am Mary Alford here, and I’m happy to be here with you. I’m a Christian Suspense author who also writes Amish Suspense. Both genres spotlight God’s love and forgiveness and I’m am blessed to be able to share God’s wonderous love in a small way.

When you think about the Amish, your mind normally goes to a simpler way of life. Gentle stories of faith and love. Hard work, and a place where the outside Englisch world and its cares are kept at bay.

But happens when you toss in a little suspense into the mix?

Well, that’s where the idea for Covert Amish Christmas, my November Love Inspired Suspense release, came from.

For those of you who have read my books, you’ll see a theme to them. Most take place in mountainous settings.

There’s something about the mountains that not only profess God’s glory, but also lends itself to suspense. When you throw in Plain hero and a former spy heroine with a hint of espionage, you have a story that isn’t predictable.

As I sat down to write Covert Amish Christmas, I knew two things. I wanted the story to take place at Christmas and I wanted the heroine to be a former CIA agent who was on the run from some dirty agents in Amish country.

And so, I created a series that will feature 5 brothers who are furniture makers in the Amish Community of West Kootenai Montana.

Covert Amish Christmas is book one of the series and features Aaron Shetler, the oldest of the brothers. Aaron is widower who blames himself for his wife’s passing.

When Aaron finds an unconscious woman shot in his family’s workshop, he doesn’t hesitate to help. After all, it is the Amish way. Yet, the bad men coming after Victoria force Aaron into a decision that tests his faith. Violence of any kind is not condoned by the peaceful Amish people, but Aaron can see that Victoria is a good person who is facing a life and death situation and will not let her go through it alone.

Aaron has no idea that helping Victoria will lead him on a desperate search to uncover the truth left behind by her fallen partner before the men trying to stop Victoria succeed in taking them both out.

So, come with me to the mountains of Montana, and to the isolated Amish community of West Kootenai, where you will find beauty and simplicity…and a rollercoaster ride that will hopefully keep you guessing who the bad guy is until the end.
