A Fun Writing Excercise

We thought it might be fun to take a break
this week and do a writing exercise.

Here are 3 words. All you have to do is choose one of the words to begin your paragraph and then use the other two words somewhere in the paragraph. Make it a short paragraph in the comment section.

Don't be shy. It's fun!

Which word will be used the most to begin the paragraph?

  1. Coffee is a wonderful magic bean. When brewed, it changes me from a stupefied, foggy-headed dolt into a confident super-writer. With enough coffee, I will not fall off my word count.

    1. Fantastic Ane. Loved the sentence about it being a magic bean because to coffee drinkers they can all relate. As a writer, it tells your reader immediately there is more to come about the magic of it. And of course the magic is how it changes you.

      Thank you for participating.

  2. Change is like a mug of re-heated, double strength, coffee--without cream or sugar. It can make your hair stand on end. But in the fall, as the leaves are changing, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

    1. Hello Michael. Thank you for joining us. Loved the description you painted about change and joined it with coffee giving the picture of fall with the leaves. Picturesque!

  3. Fall is right around the corner, which brings a change in seasonal coffee flavors . Change is good once in awhile, but I love my coffee any way I can get it, even in the Fall.

  4. Thank you Loretta. I love the way you immediately announced to your reader what was right around the corner so they could begin to imagine it and anticipate all the season brings. I had not thought of the many different coffee flavors that come into play with the change of the season, especially the fall season. There are some great flavors. Thank you for participating!

  5. Change of life, he said. More like his mid-life crisis, but as long as she had her coffee, this too would pass. And with the pretty fall leaves coming down, his hastily dug grave would soon be covered.

  6. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
