Writing is a Joyful Freedom

When I write it gives me the freedom to create a world never read before that I thrive to intrigue readers. I write in a way that puts my readers in the atmosphere of where they’re reading about.  They can picture themselves in the scene and feel the intensity of the action.  

Writing stimulates my mind to think beyond the status quo and to be creative. I chose the independent author route because it gives me control over my work without someone who doesn’t know me advising me to change something.

Writing is a secret code.

It’s more than words. It’s a language on pages that lets me live in places that don’t exist, or feel the bloody excitement of a killing rage or catch my breath at the frozen moment of danger.

I read and write for pleasure with my body, mind and soul. Reading lets me experience wonders that I cannot experience on my own, and writing lets me explore creating that sensation for others. It also lets me learn more about myself, the power of writing touching me deep inside. 

As a writer whether you’re self-published or have an agent you should work diligently to establish your brand as an author and never give up on your dreams.

James H. Waggoner was born in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a major in Management and holds a master’s degree in Contract Management. He is retired from the U.S. Air Force and has worked for the Federal Government for over 20 years in Acquisitions. His first novel Empty Soul for Hire received great reviews and his follow up novel, The Wages of Sin delivered more intensity for his readers. Although newly published this wasn’t his first writing venture. He has written a children's book, I Wish I Could Be a Pilot One Day. He’s written several unpublished short stories over the years and has always had a passion to write fiction. He currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
