Comfort and Joy in Your Writing

By Annette Cole Mastron, Communications Director for Southern Writers Magazine

Holiday decorations are hung, or not. Presents are purchased, or not. Christmas cards are sent or not. Christmas parties, church programs, school programs, neighborhood gatherings and concerts are being balanced on your calendar. The target date is fast approaching. Are you in a panic? Relax. Take a deep breathe.

Today refocus for a moment. Remember what brings you the most comfort and joy in your writing. Do you remember why you love to write? Does your writing give you comfort? Does your writing give comfort and joy to others? Are you still having fun writing? Keep writing everyday, yes even in December. Wishing you comfort and joy in your writing during this holiday season.
